Job description
The Compliance Officer for Greece will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all compliance activities related to the company’s operations in the Greek market, ensuring full adherence to Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) regulations, licensing conditions, and broader EU compliance standards.
This senior position requires strong judgment, independence, and proven expertise in gambling regulation. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for Greek regulatory compliance matters, providing oversight, guidance, and assurance to ensure operational excellence and regulatory integrity.
The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented compliance professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing day-to-day compliance operations while contributing to broader regulatory and strategic projects, supporting both local initiatives in Greece and group-wide compliance objectives under the guidance of the Head of EU Compliance.
Job requirements
Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of compliance frameworks and controls across Greek operations.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports, filings, and notifications to the HGC and other relevant authorities.
Maintain records of compliance audits, inspections, and internal monitoring.
Assist with KYC, player protection, and responsible gambling controls under local laws.
Review and maintain compliance documentation, policies, and operational procedures to reflect current legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor legal and regulatory changes in Greece and the EU, update internal policies accordingly, and implement necessary operational adjustments to ensure full compliance.
Coordinate with Group Compliance on risk assessments, internal audits, and training programs.
Lead or support investigations into potential compliance breaches and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct the testing for the Compliance Monitoring Program (“CMP”) designed to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policy and procedure requirements and best practice.
Provide training and guidance to local teams on compliance matters, fostering a strong culture of integrity and accountability.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Legal, Risk, Product, Operations, Marketing) to ensure compliance is embedded in all business processes.

Technical Skills & Experience
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs (preferably within the gambling, fintech, or financial services sectors).
In-depth knowledge of Greek gambling regulations and the HGC compliance framework.
Experience in AML, responsible gambling, and data protection compliance.
Proven track record of managing regulatory relationships and submissions.
Strong understanding of compliance principles and risk-based approaches.
High-level proficiency in both Greek and English.
Professional certification (e.g., ICA, University decree or equivalent) required.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
