Your Role:
As a Platform Engineer – AWS Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, reliability, and evolution of an existing AWS infrastructure platform supporting production workloads.
The platform includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and an OpenShift container platform running on AWS EC2 instances, supporting critical application workloads. Your focus will be on stability, security, automation, and operational excellence, ensuring the platform remains robust, scalable, and easy to operate.
This role is part of the Operations team and focuses on operating and improving AWS-based infrastructure and container platforms that power our gaming services.

⚙️ Infrastructure as Code & Controlled Automation
Maintain and evolve existing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
Use Ansible for configuration management, operational automation, and standardization of system-level changes where applicable (e.g. OS configuration, agents, operational tooling).
Reduce manual configuration by bringing existing resources under version control.
Apply changes through controlled CI/CD pipelines and change management processes.
🔐 Security, Governance & Compliance
Enforce security and governance standards across AWS accounts.
Manage IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access models.
Automate security and configuration baselines using Ansible where appropriate.
Support audits, compliance requirements, and security reviews.
Log management for operations, troubleshooting, security, and compliance.
🧹 Operational Hygiene & Documentation
Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.
Perform housekeeping activities to keep environments clean, consistent, and supportable.
Ensure changes are documented, reviewed, and traceable.
